Cherokee County Bruins look to make serious push in 2026 after Championship loss.
The Cherokee County Bruins left the EAFL in 2025 with a bad taste in their mouths. Up 21-7 at halftime against the Tarpon Springs Pirates in the Championship game it seemed like the Bruins were on their way to their first Championship in team history. It seemed that way until the Pirates came back to snatch victory from the Bruins 27-21 late in the game. Now that 2026 is almost here the Bruins look to reload and refocus on the challenges ahead. There's no doubt in anyone's mind that the Bruins have what it takes to win a championship, but can they get over the disappointing loss in 2025. The EAFL Championship game will move to Georgia in 2026 and if the Bruins make it back to the Championship game, they will have home field advantage against the Florida team that will have to make the trip up North. Can the Bruins pull it off in a tough North Division, can they get there and seal the deal this time, and most important if they get the lead this time can they hold it to win it all in 2026?
